Your First Pancake (needs to be made)

Your First Pancake (needs to be made)
🥞 "Don't worry, you aren't missing anything. I don't even know how to run a book club... I'm treating it like the first pancake," the bookstore owner told me when I asked about joining her new book club.
Book club got so full (2x capacity!) she had to close it.
Her bookstore hasn't even been open for 1 month. 🤯
As I walked away, I couldn't help but laugh at how much I could use a dollop of her "first pancake" -- the idea that your first attempt isn't usually a good one, but is necessary to getgoodat something-- attitude in my business.
I think you and I are built similarly --
If we're going to do something, we "do it right."
I was the kid who spent the extra time at the end of every multiple choice test making sure the black bubbles were perfectly filled in to the edges.
I bet you were, too.
While it's really important to get your legal stuff set, do market research, and get the equipment you need to start your online business --
You've got to fry up some pancakes if you want to get to the good stuff.
In other words: you've got to take action now, not "when x happens" or some other arbitrary date down the line.
That's how you get good.
You don't get good by waiting to get good.
That's what leads to businesses being "something you're working on" for years, with nothing to show for it.
Or why you watch person after person start the program you wanted to start, because you've been waiting for the perfect moment to launch.
As I sit here with a 'hope and a dream' to grow my podcast, On Your Terms®️, and boldly say I want to seriously grow it...
(I'm not just talking about downloads, also the content I cover, how well known it is, and the size of audience it attracts, etc.)...
I'm adopting a first pancake attitude.
Instead of talking about how much I want to grow it, and how I want to talk about 'more than just legal', I've decided:
I'm taking a play from Nike and just doing it.
I've been talking about it.
Talking about what you're going to do leads you no where.
Frying up pancakes does.
Sometimes you have to be your own coach and kick your tushie into gear.
If you need that to be me today, HI! IT'S ME!
👏 Let's throw a flapjack on the grill and get going.
As I take a dose of my own medicine, I'm over here planning new podcast episodes on topics that make me sweat.
Old me would've hummed and hawed about who the audience was, making a proper announcement, launching new podcast art...
Instead, I'm throwing my pancake on the griddle.
It's OK if the first few aren't as good as what they'll end up becoming.
It's still a pancake. And who doesn't love pancakes?
What's a first pancake you need to make this week, Reader?
Hit "reply" and tell me. I told you mine - so it's only fair ;)

💬 SUBSCRIBER QUESTION OF THE WEEK
Do you need a new EIN?
If you have an old EIN number (given by the IRS) for a different business, you may or may not need a new one if you start a new/different business.
If you had an LLC and start a new LLC (that you don't elect to be taxed as an S-Corp/corporation), you typically don't need one.
I teach you how to start your online business, how to get an EIN, and when you need a new one inside of the Ultimate Bundle®️!
Think funnels require fancy tech, endless email sequences, and a marketing degree?
Katelyn Collins, the funnel strategist behind multiple million-dollar launches (including mine!), just shattered every myth I believed about building sales systems.
In our interview, she revealed the "minimum viable funnel" approach that's so simple it sounds almost too good to be true—yet it's exactly what's driving consistent sales for online business owners right now.
But here's the twist that caught me completely off guard...
