You Can't Control Getting Sued (But You Can Control This)

I knew what had happened as soon as I felt the breeze on my tuchus...

The year: 2004.

​

I was in Washington, D.C. playing volleyball for the National Maccabi Games.

​

As we entered the packed arena for Opening Ceremonies, my "always has good ideas" teammate, Andrea, decided to pants me. In front of thousands of people. 😳

​

As I scrambled to cover myself up, my Scorpio-self immediately started plotting revenge...😈

​

As much fun as it was getting embarrassed like that 20 (!!) years ago -- I'm not sharing this story with you just to re-embarrass myself all over again.

​

I'm sharing it because getting your pants pulled down is like getting sued.

​

I taught a training for Nancy Levin's Levin Life Coach Academy last week. Her students asked me:

Just like getting pants'd in front of thousands of people, you can't control whether or not you/your business gets sued, but you can control whether you get caught being (legally) naked.

As a business owner, you can't spend all your time hiding, praying no one will pull your pants down sue you.
